Established in 1991 in its territory comprises several islands and coastlines whose landscapes are reminiscent of the idyllic views of the most famous Caribbean islands.

Throughout the different islands there are small hills and large-scale coastal tracts, among which are the Cerro de la Torre (415 meters) and Mount St. John (406 meters).

Thanks to the many rivers that cross the islands and national park lands, abundant forests and vegetation, there also arise many animal species that have settled and made their habitat in the region, and in 2005 UNESCO declared the park Coiba as a World Heritage Site.

The marine life and mammals are the main inhabitants of the region, some endemic origin as in the case of the howler monkey or agouti of Coiba.

As for marine species, are the whale shark, the manta ray, el dorado, yellowfin tuna, and the tiger shark.

With some of the coastal and marine landscapes most beautiful of Panama, you can go the Coiba National Park hoping to continue protecting the passage of time; still it is a beautiful and dazzling destination.
